As many of you know (or may not know), Just Bead It is a sponsor for ReClam the Bay, a local non-profit environmental organization that promotes environmental involvement and education in a constructive and helpful way to grow and maintain millions of baby clams and oysters.  Businesses on the Jersey Shore (including yours truly) have Giant Painted Clams to show our support!  The clams are part of the Clam Trail, a fun and educational treasure hunt.

Our clam floated and traveled about 5 blocks up Long Beach Boulevard (the clam swam in the water! ha!) during Hurricane Sandy, ruining the amazing work that Amanda Klinger painted.

However, Amanda has revived our beloved clam and it looks AMAZING!  It is back home at our N. Beach Haven (purple) store for everyone to visit…just in time for Chowderfest!!!
